FAQs — Fun Answers to Serious Questions

How many people can you pack in here?

150 in the beer garden, 50 in the taproom. That’s 200 beer-loving humans max. We’ve done larger parties where we extend into the parking lot so if you need more space we got you covered.

How big does my group need to be for a private rental?

There’s no magic number — it’s all about the vibe you’re going for and your budget. We love keeping the brewery open for our regulars, but if you want the whole place to yourself, let’s chat! Reservations are your golden ticket: the most cost-effective way to lock in your spot, with plenty of room for your crew, big or small.

Are children allowed?

Yes. We love seeing families enjoy the taproom, but we do have a few rules to keep the good vibes flowing for everyone: Every young buccaneer must have a responsible adult supervising them at all times. No running wild like it’s a jungle gym—save the sprinting for the playground! Well-behaved kiddos who respect the space (and other guests) get extra high-fives from the crew.

Do I need a reservation? What’s the damage?

Groups between 20-100 should lock in a reservation so we can staff accordingly. Fewer than 20? Just roll in.
  • Cancellation fee = $50 per 20 guests (charged if you don't show up).
  • Refundable if you cancel more than 48 hours out.
Want the whole brewery to yourself? Just say the word.

Can I come early to decorate?

Nope — your spot’s ready at the time you reserved it. Need setup time? Tell us when booking.

What’s the seating like? Can I bring my own furniture?

Picnic tables, high-tops, and bar stools. If you need more, let’s chat.

How do tabs work? Can I control how much my friends drink?

You’ve got options:
  • Open tab: Guests drink like fish, you foot the bill.
  • Tickets: We hand you however many you want (good for any drink — beer, wine, sake, seltzers, sangria, CBD, you name it).
  • Each guest covers their own drinks — you sip what you want, they sip what they want. Easy, simple, no fuss!
    • Example: 50 guests × 3 tickets = 150 drinks. When tickets run out, your friends are on their own.
  • All groups = 2-drink minimum per guest (beer, wine, NA — we don’t judge).
Oh, and groups of 8+ get a 20% auto-gratuity. Cheers to our hardworking bartenders!

What’s this gonna cost me?

Depends on your crew’s drinking speed. Drinks average $9 each. Many folks sip ~2 drinks an hour.

Example math: 30 people × 3 hours × 2 drinks/hr × $9 = $1,620 (+ tax & tip).

Do your own math and brace your wallet.

Do you serve food? Can I bring my own?

No outside food. We’ve got awesome food trucks rolling in six days a week — your taste buds are in for a treat! If there is a specific truck or cuisine you're craving, just let us know and we'll do our best to accommodate. If you’re not renting the whole brewery and want your own food truck, they’ll need to feed our regulars too — sharing is caring (but everyone pays for themselves, of course). Check out our events page for some tasty food truck options!

Do you serve anything besides beer? Can I BYO?

Yup! Wine, champagne, sake, vodka & rum seltzers, cider, sangria, CBD or THC drinks, craft soda (the kids love it!), water NA beer & wine. Be sure to view our most up to date menu here. BYO wine/champagne? Sure — $15 corkage per bottle, and our staff has to serve it. Otherwise, no outside beverages of any kind and especially no hard liquor. Florida law + our insurance = buzzkill.

Can I decorate? Bring cake?

Yes and yes! We’ll keep the cake cold until it’s party time. Decorations are welcome (but please, no balloons, confetti, or taping stuff to our lively murals).

Do you have ice?

Nope. Bring your own and keep it frosty.

Parking situation?

Big lot + friendly neighbors = lots of free parking. Still, Uber/Lyft is smart. Save the parking for DDs.

What if it rains?

Events are rain-or-shine. The outdoor beer garden is covered with a very large awning approximately 30' x 50'. Additional tents = your responsibility. If there’s space inside, we’ll move you in.

What should I wear?

LauderAle is a casual, laid-back space. We recommend dressing for the South Florida weather — especially if you’ll be spending time in our outdoor areas (which is where most people end up 🍻). Light, breathable clothing will help you stay comfortable and enjoy your time here.

Got A/V for speeches or slideshows?

Smart TVs with HDMI inputs — bring your own cables. For pro-level sound/visuals, bring your own gear. Test it ahead of time, trust us.

Can I bring a band, DJ, or photo booth?

Heck yes. Just coordinate with us. Vendors need insurance, and someone from your group must meet them at arrival.

Speaking of insurance — do I need it?

Only your vendors do (food trucks, tents, DJs, etc.). They must send us a Certificate of Insurance at least 3 days prior to your event naming the following parties as additional insured:

LauderAle, LLC
3305 SE 14th Ave
Fort Lauderdale, FL 33316

Farrell Marine Holdings JJ Center, LLC
3301 SE 14 th Ave
Fort Lauderdale, FL 33316

Can we do a charity event?

Absolutely. We’ll host and pour the beer. Planning is on you, though.

Deliveries allowed?

Yes, but someone from your crew needs to be here to sign for them. Day-of only, please.

When are you open for business?

  • Mon 4–9
  • Tue 4–10
  • Wed 4–10
  • Thu 4–11
  • Fri 3–11
  • Sat 12–11
  • Sun 11–9 (yes,Sunday Funday is a thing here)

Thanks for reading, legend. We can’t wait to host your crew at LauderAle Brewery — where the beer is cold, the music’s good, and the stories get better with every pint.

Private Events

Want the whole brewery to yourselves? You’re basically buying the keys for a few hours of pure awesome.

  • During regular hours (when we’re normally open to the public): $1,050/hr minimum bar tab → turns into ~$1,350/hr after the crew’s well-earned gratuity + tax. That’s unlimited pours of everything on tap + wine, sangria, sake, CBD seltzers, NA beers…you get the picture.
  • After-hours or “we open just for you” parties: $520/hr minimum bar tab → ~$735/hr total after tips + tax. Perfect for late-night ragers or Weekday lunch takeovers.
  • Every private party starts with a 3-hour minimum (gotta give the good times room to breathe). Setup and teardown count toward your hours, and extra time is booked in 1-hour chunks at the same rate.
  • Don’t hit the minimum bar spend? No sweat—we just charge the difference at the end. Everyone still wins. Service fees, sales tax and a 20% gratuity will be added to the beverage sales amount. If the beverage minimums aren’t hit, the remaining balance is for the private event rental fee.
  • Lock in your date by completing the agreement and credit card authorization (we won’t charge anything upfront—just holding it for peace of mind). Cancel more than 30 days before your event. No worries—no charges at all! Cancel within 30 days of the event date. We’ll charge a 50% cancellation fee (based on your estimated total cost).
  • $250 cleaning fee only if we find glitter bombs, cake in the ceiling fans, or a random unicorn in the bathroom. Leave it like you found it, and you’re golden.
  • Many private events can also be accommodated as a large semi-private reservation with no cost, just the two-drink minimum. Just ask us when we call.

Does the private event pricing include any food?

Nope – your rental fee locks down the entire brewery just for your crew and covers the bar minimum, tax and gratuity.

Food is totally separate so you can go wild: bring your favorite caterer, park a food truck, order a mountain of pizza, or fire up the grill with steaks. Whatever vibe you’re feeling, we’re wide open on the kitchen side.

Want us to handle it? Just say the word – we’ve got a killer lineup of food trucks and caterers ready to roll. We’ll coordinate everything and make it stupid-easy for you.

What happens if random beer lovers wander in during my private event?

Don’t worry – we’ve got the bouncer vibes on lock! We plaster the word “PRIVATE EVENT” everywhere (website, socials, door signs, carrier pigeons), but every now and then a thirsty regular misses the memo.

If that happens, our team sweetly breaks the news: “Sorry friend, the brewery’s been kidnapped by a private party tonight!” Then we hook them up with crowlers, 4 packs, or a growler fill so they leave happy instead of heartbroken.

Your crew still gets the whole place to yourselves – no gate crashers allowed!

How many beverages will we receive in the minimum bar spend?

Depends on your crew’s drinking speed. Drinks average $9 each. Some folks sip ~2 drinks an hour.

Example math: 3 hours gets $3,000 worth of beverages, if you have 100 guests and beverages average $9 each that’s 3.3 cold ones per person. Do your own math and brace your wallet.
